 Keith and Lorna McDonald have been married since he was in medical
school at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada fifty-odd years ago. He is an endocrinologist and she is the anaccountant who made his practice run. Both have been Christians since childhood, but the Lord didn't take full control of their lives until they retired in 2000.
That year, Keith decided, with Lorna's encouragement, to go to Cambodia on a medical mission. He has been there three times, each time more amazed at Christ's work in even the most afflicted countries. The Holy Spirit is active there and it shows in the worship and the heroism of believers.
No one in Cambodia has suffered more injustice than its children, especially its girls. Sex trafficing is all too common, and the suffering it causes is incalcuable.
Keith was moved to write his novel, A Time to Mourn, A Time to Dance, after he visited a Christian school which rescued young people and taught them not only literacy, but traditional Khmer dance set to Christian themes. The contrast between the ugliness that had brought the performers to this point in their lives and the increadible beauty of their dance was a perfet demonstration of God's work.
